T
he Haddon Estate has been in the Vernon and now Manners family of for over 900 years. It’s 3,800 acres of Derbyshire land, with Haddon Hall at its heart includes: residential and commercial properties; 3000 acres of farmland; 21 miles of riverbank on the Derwent, Wye, Lathkill and Bradford rivers; 600 acres of woodland; and our hotel, the Peacock at Rowsley. We also make furniture; do contract joinery and painting; have a lime kiln, generate electricity, and sell firewood.
Our purpose is to maintain and enhance the built and natural environment of the Estate for future generations, and to create a sustainable community and business for our employees and tenants.
